Xiamen University of Technology Receives "Special Contribution Award for China-Pakistan International Cooperation in Education"

Recently, the 26th China International Education Annual Conference was grandly held at the China National Convention Center in Beijing. At the sub-forum "Vocational Education Empowering International Industry-Education Integration Forum," XMUT was awarded the "Special Contribution Award for China-Pakistan International Cooperation in Education (2024-2025)" presented by the Pakistan National Vocational and Technical Education Commission.

The China International Education Annual Conference has long been hailed as the "barometer of China's international education". The core theme of this year's conference was "See the World Through Education," gathering approximately 4,000 participants from the Chinese and international education sectors, diplomatic missions in China, and corporate representatives from over 70 countries and regions. The sub-forum, "Vocational Education Empowering International Industry-Education Integration," was a particular highlight, having specially invited senior education officials from countries including Pakistan, Malaysia, and Thailand.

The Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages (TCSOL) major at XMUT has actively supported Chinese language education in Pakistan. This has included organizing our students to participate in online teaching training programs for the University of the Punjab. These efforts have yielded excellent outcomes and gained wide recognition from the Pakistani partner institution. This honor not only represents high recognition of XMUT's in-depth commitment and focused efforts in China-Pakistan educational exchanges but also fully demonstrates the solid work and notable achievements in promoting vocational education exchange and collaboration between the two countries.
