1. A scanned copy of the first page of the applicants’ passport, valid beyond October 31, 2022.


2. Birth certificate.


3. Parents’ ID.


4. Senior high school/university diploma or pre-graduation certificate, with seal of the awarding institution.

1) High school/university diploma accredited by the Ministry of Education or the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the host country.

2) Applicants with a pre-graduation certificate must obtain the diploma with accreditation by September 2022.

3) High school/university diplomas obtained in mainland China other than regions of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan do not need accreditation.

4) Originals of the diploma and the accreditation document are to produce for inspection at registration.


5. Official transcripts of high school/university with seal

1) Annual transcripts of high school/university by fresh senior high school/university graduates.

2) A full official transcript of high school/university by previous senior high school/university graduates.

3) Scores of unified state exams of high school/university of applicants’ country of residence or of international standardized exams, such as A-level/UEC, AP, IB, SAT, and ACT.


6. Proof of language proficiency:

Applicants for Chinese-delivered programs are required to submit a valid HSK certificate with a score of 200 at level 4 or above. Applicants who took high school/university programs delivered in Chinese can have their Chinese language proficiency proof with the statements issued by high school/university certifying that the courses the applicant took was delivered in Chinese.


7. A recommendation letter written in Chinese or English, with the commander's signature, or seal of the institution making the recommendation.


8. A personal statement written in Chinese in no less than 800 words, introducing the applicant, his/her learning experience, and goals and plans in study in China.


9. Physical Examination Record for Foreigners and scanned copy of the original, written in Chinese or English with seal of the hospital involved, valid for six months or more.


10. Statement of Financial Support for International Students and scanned copy of the original written in Chinese or English, and a bank statement confirming sufficient funds to cover justified expenses for studying, living, and international travelling for the applicant’s study in China, as well as the passport or scanned copy of identity of the applicant’s financial guarantor (only the applicant or relative accepted). Statement of Financial Support is also required for scholarship applicants.


11. Non Criminal Certificate, issued by the local public security department of applicants’ region of residence within 6 months prior to the date that the application is submitted.


12. Participation in and awards for scholarly or sports events, participation in non-profit social practice, and professional/technical qualification certificates with supportive materials..


13. A certification statement by an overseas Chinese association, a Chinese educational institution, or an influential overseas Chinese in the applicant’s country of residence, certifying that the applicant is a descendant of Chinese; another certification statement required by Tan Kah Kee Scholarship applicants, issued by the Jimei Alumni Association certifying that the applicant is a descendant of a Jimei alumnus/alumna


Note:

1. Once you have submitted the application, you will not be able to make any changes. Please check carefully to ensure that the application submitted is accurate and complete. Inaccurate or incomplete applications will not be accepted.

2. If you need to submit a certificate or any other document that is not originally in Chinese or English you need to include a notarized Chinese or English translation in addition to the original. It is recommended that the notarization be done at the embassy/ consulate of the People's Republic of China in the country of your residence. Moreover, certificates or other document with several pages should be stamped with an official seal on each page.
