Dr.Luigi d’Apolito
I have been working in Xiamen University of Technology since September 2012. As soon as I arrived at our University, colleagues from the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange actively supported me to develop proficient relations with the Mechanical Engineering Department and to take part in research activities and projects. My colleagues heartily welcomed me, and I found very natural to establish friendly relationships with them in a spirit of mutual cooperation and trust.
My relations with the students are not limited to the lessons and preparation of their graduation thesis, but also related to extracurricular activities such as the ''Formula Student'' competition. “Formula Student” is a racing car competition where the students should design, manufacture a racing car and compete with other Universities. As advisor for Xiamen University of Technology Amoy racing team I got a very pleasant satisfaction in the “Formula Student China 2013”, where, thanks to the generous efforts and passion of the students, our team achieved the first place among the best Universities of China, earning the opportunity to take part in the “Formula Student Germany 2014”.
