Recently, the national finals of the 27th China Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Competition were successfully held in Suzhou. Students from XMUT's School of Optoelectronic and Communication Engineering won one national first-place award, two national second-place awards, and four provincial-level awards. Among them, Ye Miaoqi, Duan Yibing, and Zhang Minghao (Advisors: Shi Hua, Chen Yi) won the national first prize. The China Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Competition is one of the largest, most influential, and highest-level robotics competitions in China and is included in the list of university discipline competitions released by the China Association of Higher Education. This year's competition was hosted by the China Mechatronics Technology Application Association, with the Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT) Suzhou Research Institute undertaking the organization. It comprised 20 contests under four main categories: Innovation, Challenge, Application, and Competition, attracting over 900 universities, more than 30,000 teams, and over 90,000 participants. The achievements in this competition represent another fruitful outcome of XMUT's cultivation of applied innovative talents. The School of Optoelectronic and Communication Engineering has long adhered to the philosophy of "promoting teaching and learning through competitions," consistently committed to solidifying students' foundation in professional knowledge and cultivating their capacity for innovation and practical application.
