XMUT Selected as a First Pilot Unit for Bosch Application-Oriented and Technical/Skilled Talent Training

A list was recently released by the MOE International Cooperation and Exchange Department of the first pilot units to train the German Bosch-styled application-oriented and technical/skilled talents with joint efforts. XMUT was on the list, the only university in Fujian to have been selected.

Pilot units of the first batch for cultivation were selected through application of the college/university, recommendation by the provincial department of education, and on-site evaluations by experts. A total of 80 colleges and universities were finally approved across the country. XMUT is to pilot in intelligent manufacturing, based on three XMUT programs of automation, electrical engineering and automation, and artificial intelligence.

The pilot project of Bosch application-oriented and technical skilled talent cultivation through cooperation is coordinated and guided by the International Cooperation and Exchange Department of MOE, and implemented by the Employment Association of College Graduates and Bosch, Germany. It benchmarks the criteria for technical/skilled and application-oriented talents in Germany, with a focus on intelligent manufacturing, automotive technology, new energy vehicles, and other professional fields. High-level undergraduate institutions and higher vocational colleges are selected as pilot units to work with Bosch to enhance international cooperation in cultivating application-oriented and technical talents. Thus a new mode of dual talent training by industry-education integration will be gradually formed, and talents prepared for the transformation, upgrading and high-quality development of China's manufacturing industry, and the growth of the regional economy.
