XMUT recently received approval from the China Scholarship Council (CBC) to become a partner university of the Young Backbone Teachers Studying Abroad Project of the China Scholarship Council (the Qinggu Project), starting from 2024.

Becoming a partner university empowers XMUT to have the right to screen faculty member applicants within the university to enter the study abroad project, which gives new impetus to the globalization of XMUT teaching staff. By the funding scheme of the Qinggu Project, XMUT’s young backbone teachers to study abroad will be funded by CBC and XMUT in a 1:1 ratio. This project will assist XMUT in selecting young scholars with the development potential to engage in cooperative research at high-level universities or research institutions abroad.
