The fifth (2022) National College Students Embedded Chip and System Design Competition concluded in August, in Nanjing, capital of Jiangsu Province. The student team "FPA" from School of Opto-electronic and Communication Engineering of XMUT won the second and third national prizes respectively. Several other teams from XMUT won prizes in the Southern Division competition.

The competition was divided into three stages: the preliminary round, the semi-final round and the national final. Five divisions were set up in the north, east, west, central and south of the country, attracting 4,717 teams from 411 universities. The School of Opto-electronics of XMUT has fully prepared for the whole process of the competition. Good results came from considerate guidance and preparation.

National College Student Embedded Chip and System Design Competition sponsored by the Chinese Institute of Electronics, is A class competition recognized by the Ministry of Education.
