2021 China International College Student Fashion Week kicked off in Beijing recently, attracting about 80 colleges and universities in and out of China to exhibit fashion works by their graduates, hold fashion competitions, and showcase college fashion education achievements. On the afternoon of May 17, XMUT School of Design Art held the 2021 graduation design exhibition by graduates of Fashion & Accessory Design at the central hall of Beijing 751D.PARK Fashion Design Plaza. Vice chairman of China Fashion Designers Association Mr. Yang Jian, Ms. Zhu Shaofang, Mr. Xie Fangming, Ms. Huang Ping and other honorable experts attended the exhibition. Participants also included XMUT vice president Wu Keshou, Dean of School of Design Art Meng Weidong, faculty members, students and alumni of XMUT and faculty members and students of other universities and colleges.

The theme of this exhibition is Together. It aims at giving students some food for thought in their creation facing many problems in today's world. How should the humans live alone and together in this globalized world amid worldwide problems such as the Covid-19pandemic? And how should people connect with themselves and the world around them in the whirlpool of digitized and symbolized world against the accelerated competition and involution? The exhibition gives the young designers a platform to think, explore and design.

A total of 58 suits of clothes were displayed at the exhibition, with breakthroughs in design concept, theme presentation, use of fashion elements or concept innovation. XMUT students of design art take the challenge of new fabric processing and style modeling, and cater to fashion trends and market demands while focusing on real life wear, maintaining a dynamic balance for design between the artistic pursuit and real world demand so that they change and grow in the constant testing and competing.(School of Design Art)
