XMUT Students Obtains First Prize of 2018 National Mobile Internet Innovation Contest

XMUT students did an excellent job obtaining a first, a second and two thirds in the 2018 China Mobile Internet Innovation Competition from November 9th to 11th, and XMUT achieved a best organizer award. Our prize-winning students include the first-prize winners of Li Shuo, Zhang Wei and Ma Chuanyu (coached under Zhang Zewang and Li Pengpeng) of School of Optoelectronic & Communication Engineering, the second-prize winners of Zhang Wenhui, Chen Zhenchao and Shi Linying (coached under Fang Tianke and Liu Yiyuan) of School of Software Engineering, and the third-prize winners respectively of Xu Pingwen, Xu Xiaojia and Luo Kuntai (coached under Zhang Zewang and Lin Haijun) of School of Optoelectronic & Communication Engineering, and Chen Zhenchao and Zhang Wenhui (coached under Xiao Weidong and Zhu Wei) of School of Software Engineering. They will also be awarded China Information Technology Professional Certificate by China Software Industry Association exempted from the corresponding tests.

China Mobile Internet Innovation Competition is a brand national event in promoting China's technological innovation. It is guided by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China(MIIT) and the China Science and Technology Association, and organized by MIIT Mobile Internet Industry Incubation Center and Chin Institute of Communications. Exploiting the industrial advantages of MIIT, it is a platform for university-enterprise cooperation, linking the frontiers of science and technology in the Internet, Internet of Things, Artificial Intelligence, and Block Chain, and facilitating the application for industrialization of the results of the competition. Its nationwide finals of the 2018 competition were held at Shandong University of Technology. The contest spanned over six months, and contestants counted 216 finalists out of over 3,000 team projects from 126 universities, including University of Electronic Science and Technology, Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, Tianjin University and Sichuan University. It had stages of proposal review, preliminary finals, final technical defense, commercial roadshows and live demonstrations.
