The University of Regina is a well-known Canadian public university, ranked 8th in comprehensive universities in Canada, and having a history of over 30-year cooperation with China. In 2005, XMUT established a partnership with UR, and in the past 13 years, we have achieved tangible results in running joint educational programs, credit transfer, inter-university exchange of faculty and students, and research cooperation. So far, a total of 103 XMUT students are, or have been, in UR to pursue degrees, about 20 UR students have been on study tour to XMUT; a dozen or so professors of XMUT and UR have been appointed as Adjunct Professors by the other university and nearly 100 faculty visits carried out between the two partner institutions. Currently, XMUT has three XMUT-UR research centers in operation and another three UR-researcher led projects listed among High-End Foreign Experts Projects by China’s State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs (SAFEA).
