The School of Materials Science & Engineeringhosts four academic programs: Material Forming & Control Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Electronic Packaging Technology, and Materials & Devices for New Energy Sources.

We have an excellent reputation for teaching and research. Two of our research laboratories were designated as “Key Institutions” by the Fujian Provincial Government: “Fujian Optoelectronic Information Materials & Devices Laboratory” and “Xiamen Powder Metallurgy Technology & New Materials Laboratory”. In addition, we run the highly respected research institutes: “The Institute for Applied Materials and Fabrication Technology” and “The Materials Development &Integrated Technology Institute”. In 2012 we started a Master’s Program for research and production of materials for vehicle engineering.
