Delegation of University of Windsor, Canada Visits XMUT

On March 7, the delegation of University of Windsor (UWinsor), Canada visited XMUT. Dr. Michael Siu, UWinsor Vice President, Innovation and Research, and Dr. Diana Kao, Vice President, International, met with President Prof. Chen Wenzhe and Vice President Prof. Zhao Zhenxiang. Heads relevant in XMUT, Academic Affairs, International Office, School of Mechanical & Automotive Engineering, School of Civil Engineering & Architecture, School of Electrical Engineering & Automation, and International College attended the meeting. 

President Chen briefed on the current advancement of XMUT and expressed his hope for mutually beneficial and sustainable collaboration in the field of engineering between the two universities. Participants relevant had productive discussion and settled on a shared intention of cooperation in building a platform for automobiles and new energy innovation and research, introducing high-level research teams as well as undergraduate-graduate or graduate articulation programs in mechanical engineering, vehicle engineering, electrical engineering and civil engineering.

UWinsor has a strong academic and research capacity in the fields of automotive, electrical, materials and civil engineering. It is the only university in Canada that offers bachelor, master and doctor degrees in automotive engineering. Located in Canada's traditional "automotive capital" Winsor across the border from Detroit, UWinsor has close partnerships with local businesses and industry, such as the Automotive Research and Development Center with Chrysler Canada, which provides students with a wealth of resources for internships.
