XMUT has two new IEET Accredited Engineering, Science and Technology Programs

On December 26th at the Fujian Assembly Hall, Fujian Province's Department of Education hosted the 'Assessment of Higher Education and Authentication Seminar'. Yang Yongbin, Chair of the Taiwan IEET Accreditation Board and an academician at the Chinese Academy of Engineering on behalf Fujian’s Colleges and Universities awarded the first 14 IEET Accredited Engineering, Science and Technology certificates.

Two majors at XMUT's, 'Material Molding and Control Engineering' and 'Optoelectronic Information Science and Engineering' were the first to receive accreditation from the Taiwan IEET Accreditation Board for the above-mentioned program after passing the onsite inspection that took place in September last year (2016).

The accreditation means graduates from both majors meet the standards set by the IEET and the education standards in these majors meet the level set by the international Washington Accord. Graduates of the IEET accredited program are eligible to have the IEET logo printed on their graduation certificates which will add value to their qualification.
