XMUT National Experiment Teaching Demonstration Center Approved

XMUT Vehicle Engineering Experiment Teaching Center is in the list of the 2015 National Experiment Teaching Demonstration Center to develop. The list was published by the Higher Education Department of Ministry of Education of China recently on its website. A total of 80 experiment teaching centers are approved as the National Experiment Teaching Demonstration Center this time, including four from Fujian Province.

 

Established in 2003, XMUT Vehicle Engineering Experiment Teaching Center now consists of 11 labs, including Automobile Structure, Automotive Powertrain, Engine Assembly, Chassis Assembly, Automotive Electrical & Electronic Technology, and five innovation platforms, including Formula Student racing, Fuel-Efficient Car, Navigation Car & Beach Cleaner, and XMUT Design. It provides a number of vehicle engineering design and test platforms for teaching and research at provincial or municipal level, such as Fujian Buses & Special Vehicles R & D Innovation Center (Incubator) and Fujian Universities Modern Automotive Design & Engineering Center, and currently undertakes eight vehicle test projects with National Natural Science Foundation, Ministry of Science, Fujian key research project, Xiamen King Long United Automotive Industry, Dongfeng Yulon Motor, and Linde Forklift respectively.

 

School of Mechanical & Automotive Engineering has made earnest and effective efforts to ensure the success of the application. The XMUT National Experiment Teaching Demonstration Center will promote the advancement of our hands-on learning and laboratory teaching, help efficient use and sharing of resources, and enhance the academic standards and quality that XMUT provides.
