2018 2nd International Conference on Environment and Energy Engineering Held in XMUT

 2018 2nd International Conference on Environmental and Energy Engineering (IC3E 2018) was held in XMUT on March 2nd and 3rd, co-organized by XMUT School of Environmental Science & Engineering, International Society for Environmental Information Sciences (ISEIS) and Asia-Pacific Institute of Science and Engineering (APISE). Experts and researchers in environments and energy gathered from universities and research institutes from the US, the UK, Canada, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Iran, Burma and other countries as well as from Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, and the mainland China, to discuss frontier issues in environment. President ZHU met with the participants of the conference.

The opening ceremony was chaired by Prof. HUANG Guohe, Honorary Dean of the XMUT School of Environmental Science & Engineering, Chair of the International Society for Environmental Information Sciences, and Member of the Canadian Academy of Engineering. Prof. WU Keshou, Vice President of XMUT, and Prof. ZHUANG Shijian, Chair of Xiamen Society for Environmental Science addressed the opening ceremony.

The speaker lineup included Prof. HUANG Guohe, Prof. LI Yongping, Changjiang Scholar Professor and Dean of XMUT School of Environmental Science & Engineering, Prof. Hossein Ganjidoust of Tarbiat Modares University, Technical Counselor of the Iranian Embassy in China, Prof. XIAO Huining of the New Brunswick University, Member of the Canadian Academy of Engineering, and Changjiang Scholar Professor, Prof. DUAN Qingyun of Beijing Normal University , the National “Thousand Talents Program”, a leading talent of Thousand Talents Program (China) Prof. WANG Shuguang, Deputy Dean of School of Environment of Shandong University, Professors CAI Junhong of National Cheng Kung University atTaiwanand Prof. SHAO Huaiyu of the University of Macau. Themes throughout the speeches delivered include energy & environment, ecology & biodiversity conservation, renewable energy, climate change and global warming.
